Therapy for Anxiety & Stress
Move from overwhelmed to grounded—one step at a time
Healing Starts Here.
Anxiety and chronic stress can shape every aspect of life—your thoughts, emotions, physical health, relationships, and overall well-being. It can feel like your mind is constantly racing, your body is tense, and no matter how much you try to relax, you can’t shut off the worry. Some people experience it as a quiet hum of unease, while for others, it comes in waves of panic or a relentless sense of pressure to keep up. When left untreated, anxiety can make even simple daily tasks feel overwhelming, leading to exhaustion, self-doubt, and a sense of disconnection from yourself and others.
At Michigan Wellbeing, we understand that anxiety is not just about thoughts—it is deeply connected to your nervous system, past experiences, and the ways you have learned to cope with stress. That’s why our approach is comprehensive and integrative, working to not only ease symptoms but to address the deeper patterns keeping you stuck in cycles of fear, overthinking, or emotional overwhelm.
Healing from anxiety isn’t about “just relaxing” or forcing yourself to think positively—it’s about rewiring the way your mind and body respond to stress, so you can feel calm, grounded, and in control of your life again.
How We Approach Anxiety Therapy at Michigan Wellbeing
At Michigan Wellbeing, we go beyond traditional talk therapy to help you understand and transform the patterns that keep anxiety in place. Our therapists use an integrative, whole-person approach that combines evidence-based techniques with nervous system regulation to create lasting change.
Cognitive & Behavioral Approaches – Learn how anxiety-based thought patterns form and develop strategies to interrupt worry cycles, reframe fears, and build confidence.
Attachment & Relational Therapy – Explore how early experiences shape your responses to stress and relationships, helping you build security, trust, and self-compassion.
Mindfulness & Emotional Resilience – Strengthen your ability to stay present and centered, reducing reactivity and increasing self-awareness and control over your emotions.
Holistic & Integrative Healing – We recognize that nutrition, movement, sleep, and lifestyle factors all influence anxiety levels, and we help you create sustainable changes that support your overall well-being.
Somatic & Nervous System Regulation – Work with your body to release stored stress, regulate emotions, and restore a sense of calm through breathwork, movement, and grounding techniques.

Understanding Anxiety: Why It’s More Than Just Worry
Anxiety is more than feeling nervous before a big event or having occasional stress—it can be a persistent state of hyperawareness, restlessness, or tension that affects every part of your life. It often stems from an overactive stress response, where your brain and nervous system remain stuck in high alert, making it difficult to relax, trust yourself, or feel safe in the present moment.
People with chronic anxiety or high stress may experience:
Racing thoughts, overanalyzing, or worst-case-scenario thinking
Trouble sleeping, frequent headaches, or muscle tension
Avoidance of situations that feel overwhelming or uncertain
Perfectionism or feeling like you’re never doing enough
Irritability, difficulty focusing, or feeling easily overstimulated
A constant sense of unease, even when everything seems “fine”
Over time, these patterns can take a toll—affecting work, relationships, decision-making, and overall happiness. But with the right support, you can retrain your mind and body to break free from these cycles and experience lasting relief.
What To Expect From Therapy at Michigan Wellbeing
A Thoughtful, Individualized Approach – Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. We take the time to understand your experiences, your history, and the ways you relate to yourself and others.
A Whole-Person Perspective – We integrate relational therapy, somatic work, self-regulation techniques, and evidence-based interventions to address challenges from multiple angles.
Practical Tools for Everyday Life – Therapy is not just about insight—it’s about gaining the tools and strategies to navigate emotions, relationships, and daily life with confidence.
Deep, Root-Cause Healing – Instead of just managing symptoms, we work to understand and shift underlying patterns so that real, lasting change can happen.
A Flexible, Evolving Process – As you grow, your therapy evolves with you. We adjust the approach based on what’s working, ensuring that each session remains impactful and aligned with your needs.
Therapy is about more than just coping—it’s about building a stronger, more resilient, and more connected version of yourself. Whatever challenges you’re facing, we are here to help you move through them with care, expertise, and a truly integrative approach to healing.
